About Sarah's Swim School

At Sarah’s Swim School, we believe that learning to swim should be a positive, enjoyable and confidence-building experience for every swimmer.

Our Story

A welcoming home for swimmers of all ages

Based at our warm private pool in Hunstanton, we provide high-quality swimming lessons for babies, children and adults in a calm, welcoming environment where every swimmer receives the time, attention and encouragement they need to thrive.

We understand that every swimmer is different. Some are taking their very first steps into the water, while others are looking to refine their technique or overcome a fear of swimming. Whatever your starting point, our personalised approach ensures lessons are tailored to your individual needs, helping you build confidence, develop essential water safety skills and enjoy every stage of your swimming journey.

With small class sizes, experienced instructors and a supportive atmosphere, we aim to create an environment where swimmers of all ages feel safe, valued and proud of their progress. Every achievement, no matter how big or small, is celebrated as we help develop skills that will last a lifetime.

Our Teaching Philosophy

More than just strokes

Swimming is an essential life skill, and we believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn in an environment where they feel relaxed, supported and encouraged.

Our lessons focus on much more than simply learning swimming strokes. We help every swimmer develop confidence in the water, improve technique, build independence and gain the knowledge needed to stay safe around water.

By keeping our lessons personal and adapting our teaching to each individual, we allow every swimmer to progress at their own pace while enjoying every step of their journey.

Meet the Team

Sarah Bennett

Owner & Founder

I am the proud Owner and Founder of Sarah’s Swim School and Hunstanton Private Pool Hire. Swimming has always been my passion, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have turned that passion into a rewarding career. My goal is not only to teach children and adults to swim with confidence but also to equip them with essential water safety skills that could one day save lives.

I love seeing swimmers of all ages grow in confidence, overcome their fears, and achieve goals they never thought possible. Whether someone is taking their very first steps into the water or building on existing skills, I believe lessons should always be enjoyable, supportive, and tailored to the individual.

When I’m not in the pool, you’ll usually find me enjoying life on the water—whether that’s paddle boarding, jet skiing, or water skiing during the summer months—or keeping active through running and going to the gym.

Aimee Newman

Swimming Teacher

I’ve always been passionate about sport, exercise, and being part of a team. Growing up by the coast, I developed a love for the water and a strong appreciation for water safety. I previously worked as a lifeguard for four years, helping people stay safe in and around the water.

I went on to study Sports Therapy before completing a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology, further developing my passion for supporting people through sport and exercise. Alongside my role as Head of Medical at Cambridge Rugby Club, I am excited to be teaching swimming at Sarah’s Swim School, where I love teaching swimmers of all ages, from newborns through to competitive swimmers.

As a keen rugby fan, gym-goer, and outdoor enthusiast, I strongly believe in the positive impact of exercise and enjoy helping people develop confidence, build new skills, and foster a lifelong love of being active.
